Wum council with the support of the Ministry of Public Health handed to the Upkwa Integrated Health Center

At Upkwa, a quarter in Ghidze village, a significant event unfolded as the Wum council with the support of the Ministry of Public Health handed to the Upkwa Integrated Health Center, a consignment of medical equipment worth CFA 20 million. The consignment included a state of the art suite of medical equipment, consisting of baby’s cots, microscopes, beds, and mattresses amongst other. The air was filled with excitement as the community gathered to witness this life changing moment.
When the momentous occasion arrived, Mayor Anthony Mvo, took center stage. His resounding voice echoed through the crowd, urging the population to make judicious use of the equipment. He emphasized the importance of preserving these resources for the posterity, reminding everyone that each piece would greatly enhance the quality of healthcare in Upkwa and its environs.
As the event progressed, Dr. Elomme Bako, the District Medical Officer of Wum Health District, (DMO), addressed the gathering. With unwavering passion, Dr. Bako entreated the community to actively participate in the protection of the new equipment. Displaying a profound sense of gratitude, he acknowledged the significant impact these additions would have on healthcare services.
However, Dr. Bako didn’t stop there. He seized the opportunity to appeal to Mayor Mvo for even more support. His impassioned plea for additional resources highlighted the ongoing needs of the Upkwa Integrated Health Center. His message was clear: while this timely arrival of the equipment would undoubtedly make a difference, continued support was essential to further enhance the healthcare services in their beloved community.
The event was witnessed by HRH Ebua Divine Kum, Fon of Ghiedze village, Alhadji Bira Kurumanjoh of Upkwa and a cream of Wum Council staff that accompanied the Mayor.
